We meet at the West Regional Library on the FIRST Saturday of each month.
The meeting takes place in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room.

The Broward Amateur Radio Club holds ARRL Testing for new and upgraded amateur radio licenses. We test during the 1st Saturday of each month, just before our monthly club meeting.
Come test for a new license or upgrade your current ham license. The Fee is $15.

Walk-ins are welcome.
Please arrive between 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM in order to have time to complete testing.
We try to schedule at least one outdoor field activity per month (usually a POTA activation) in South Florida parks. See the list below for 2024 and 2025 planned activities.

This month we will be at Markham Park starting at 8:00 AM.
We will hunt POTA parks and also 13 Colonies special event stations.
A great time at our 2025 Field Day. Over 70% of our members participated. We operated about 18 of the 24 hours and great BBQ on Saturday and Sunday.
March, April and May we went out for about 4 POTA outings and got together to operate our club call W4AB in the Florida QSO Party. Great fun!
Road trip by a group of several members to the large Orlando Hamcation event.
Great fun and an excellent performance by our members in Winter Field Day 2025.
We activated the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor WMA (US-6301) for our November field outing.
We activated US-6301 from Everglades Holiday Park on Saturday, October 19th. Great turnout and cool, breezy weather!
We activated Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (US-1858) on Sunday, September 15th at 8:00AM. Great turnout and good weather!
August 17-18 was International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend (IILW). We setup at a picnic spot at Markham Park and hunted lighthouse activations.
Four times a year, POTA has a "Support Your Parks" weekend. Many hunters and activators are having fun on the bands these weekends. BARC returned to the Everglades site and activated US-6301 on July 21st.
