Broward Amateur Radio Club gets it start in 1946.
Broward Amateur Radio Club was founded in 1946 and is the oldest Amateur Radio Club still active in South Florida.
Broward Amateur Radio Club continues to appeal to young and old.
The Broward Amateur Radio Club was founded in 1946, and received our ARRL Charter of Affiliation on March 2, 1949.
We are the oldest Amateur Radio Club in Broward County and one of the oldest in Florida.
In 2018, we celebrated our 70th anniversary of ARRL Affiliation.
The club call sign is W4AB.
Our goal is to promote radio knowledge and high standards in amateur radio operation, and conduct club programs and activities to advance the general welfare of Amateur Radio in the community.
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for our members to meet, engage, learn and develop meaningful relationships.
Starting 2024, we plan to meet bi-monthly for general club meetings and host a monthly social and operating activity in the field (outdoors) such as POTA hunting and activation.
Our club has a Facebook Group and and (new) Instagram account so you can follow our activities.
